MENUS,  SUMMER

MEAL PLAN: JUNE 24TH – 30TH

Coming in hot from Manhattan at a K State football camp for our son Aniston and the turnaround time to meal prep is TIGHT. We really enjoyed Manhattan (my first trip there!) even though it was super hot and we were there less than 24 hours lol. Born and raised a die hard KU fan so this was a bit hard to do lol!

They gave us a tour of the K State football program amenities and we’ll just say that they take care of their athletes very well there. It was HOT and although those boys on the field had to be hot on the turf, they gave their all. It was a great experience and I can’t wait for my daughter to have her moment to go to a D1 school camp like this for basketball. Great opportunity!

We have so much going on this coming week so I’m already tired lol. We have two days of basketball and two days of dentist appointments. This week is BUSY but what else is new this summer LOL? What I’ve learned as a mom of bigger kids: when they’re little it’s easier to keep all your little chickies close with you and at home doing all the summer activities…I miss those days! But when they’re bigger they have jobs and sport practices and maybe even summer games so it’s a different kind of busy.

Reminder: I want to remind you mamas that we always get to choose how busy our families are. We get to choose how many practices and games and tournaments we participate in. If it’s a yes for your family then you own that. If you think your kids are too busy then step in and say no. We ALWAYS get to choose! Your state’s sports athletics association does not decide how busy or not busy your family is. Your kids’ coaches don’t get to decide that either. We always get to choose. Choose wisely.

THIS WEEK’S MEAL PLAN:

MEALS:

  • BACON CHEESEBURGERS AND CHIPS
  • GRILLED CHICKEN & BACON SANDWICHES AND FRIES

SNACKS:

  • smoothies
  • lunch meat sandwiches

BREAKFAST: sausage, eggs, and toast

DRINKS: In the summer my family loves that I keep fresh tea and lemonade in the fridge so it’s easy to grab and go!
