MENUS,  SUMMER

MEAL PLAN: JUNE 3RD-9TH

Was so surprised to see two bees in our flowers yesterday while we were doing yard work. I have never had the privilege of seeing a real bee pollinate flowers except on tv, so it was just so neat to stop and watch for a minute. I even made Adam stop what he was doing to come see. Bless his heart, he came even though he probably didn’t want to🥹

Tackling summer busyness with SIMPLENESS this week. Adam is still in his office for another couple weeks and the kids are busy with jobs, sports, and summer weights.

When they are hungry they need food ready lol. Adam has been really wanting some cowboy caviar although I’ve never made it LOL. I found two on Pinterest to try: a classic and a creamy one. I forgot to add a sweet item too, so I think I’ll whip up some chocolate chip cookies sometime OR just grab some at the store🙃. Here’s our plan!

THIS WEEK’S MEAL PLAN:

MEALS:

  • BRATS AND CHIPS (top with fried onions from the grill🤤)
  • CHEESEBURGERS, FRIES, BAKED BEANS
  • HAM/ROTISSERIE CHICKEN SANDWICHES AND CHIPS
  • CREAMY COWBOY CAVIAR (as a side)
  • CLASSIC COWBOY CAVIAR (as a side) *

SNACKS:

  • homemade lunchables
  • homemade uncrustables
  • mini peppers, snap peas, and hummus
  • smoothies

BREAKFAST: sausage and eggs, honey vanilla yogurt with granola and blueberries

DRINKS: In the summer my family loves that I keep fresh tea and lemonade in the fridge so it’s easy to grab and go!

* We use greek yogurt instead of sour cream, also we did not care for the caviar recipes as is so I am making some tweaks for our liking 🙂 feel free to do the same!
