THE BEST FALL SNOWY DAY

To be honest I didn’t even believe the weather forecast for snow today. In Kansas, you just never know if you can trust the predictions. My daughter insisted on wearing snow boots to school and we said, “well, ok that’s fine.” But lo and behold, the snow came! Not very much of it, but enough to get us into a cozy fall mood. The Lord blessed me with a rest day today and I slept in later than usual. Mom win. And I made it my goal to do all the things that center me and bring me back to my sweet spot in life. For me, that involves cooking for my family, lots of snuggle time with a movie, treats and REST.

MAKE A COMFORT FOOD

I’m making a family favorite today, chili and cinnamon rolls! My cinnamon rolls recipe is not difficult friends! You should try it. I believe in you!

DIFFUSE ALL THE FALL BLENDS

It’s hard to narrow it down when choosing from this list, but for today I am diffusing Thieves + Orange all day! YUM! (plus it’s an amazing immune boost. Hashtag mom win. If you do not have oils in your home yet let me know so we can change that!

WATCH A FALL MOVIE

Ok so it doesn’t have to be a “fall movie”, but that’s what we’re doing! It will most likely be Hocus Pocus because….because lol! Need some ideas? Check here for my Fall Movie List.

MAKE HOMEMADE HOT CHOCOLATE

This is the BEST! Don’t let the word “homemade” scare you…it’s not hard at all and I guarantee you have all the ingredients in your kitchen already. Be prepared to be the hero in your own house. (Don’t forget some fun toppings. Mine is whipped cream and festive sprinkles!)

FAMILY ACTIVITIES

So before we settle down with our movie, we will check our fall bucket list and see what we can do this evening. Or we will grab a board game and referee some fights between our children. (isn’t that how it goes?) Whatever activity you choose, make it simple, cozy, and full of family time! xoxo
