CHRISTMAS COZY AND DIFFUSER BLENDS
If I haven’t said it a million times already, this is my favorite time of year! The air is chilly, we’re inside doing lots of festive actives, savoring a cup of hot chocolate (or my second pot of coffee) and absolutely loving it. It’s the perfect time to talk Christmas cozy and share some festive diffuser blends to use the next few weeks!
CHRISTMAS COZY
To me, Christmas cozy is snuggles, food, family time, warm drinks and lots of movie nights. Here’s a few things I’m loving right now!
Hot Chocolate: we make ours on the stove and love to have a hot chocolate bar for movie nights
Blankets: we got this blanket to lay on while watching fireworks on the 4th, but it’s my favorite blanket right now. It’s great for sharing with others. I’m very tall, so trust me that it’s a big blanket!
Movie Nights: out of all the family activities, us Wigintons LOVE movie night! Fresh popcorn on the stove “with lots of oil” is Milani’s favorite. Well, me too girl. Here’s a list of Christmas movies we love to watch in the month of December!
Cozy Decor: look no further, here is how you make that happen! Liz Marie is an absolute sweetheart. She started a blog when her hubby was deployed and it’s grown into this amazing community. You need to follow her on social for tons of decor tips and diys!
Cozy Food: I just recently made this soup and I LOVED IT. My family did too! I omitted the mushrooms, cause we’re not a fan. If you want more sustenance to it I would suggest adding some type of Italian sausage and potatoes maybe! SO GOOD. Will definitely make this one again.
CHRISTMAS DIFFUSER BLENDS
Ever since we started using essential oils, they are now part of every season we celebrate. Coming up with new blends and thinking of names is seriously one of our favorite things. Right now we are diffusing a blend called “Frosty the Snowman” while we watch the cartoon. I mean come on…that’s festive!
As soon as it was Christmastime, I used to immediately go online and stock up on my favorite winter candles. Until I realized they are full of toxic junk (even some of the ones that say they’re “natural”) and were actually harming us. We switched over to a more non-toxic living in all areas and candles were for sure one of the first to go. I quickly learned that I can have all the same holiday smells I’ve always loved but they’re safe and actually benefit us when we breath them in! Don’t have your kit yet? I can help you get started right HERE!
Don’t forget to embrace the season with your loved ones. It’s not too late to start some family activities so head over here to get some ideas. Let me know if you start your own holiday calendar because I would love to hear all about it!
We’re off to go to our local Christmas parade downtown so I’m gonna make some hot chocolate for us to sip on while we freeze. Happy Holidays friends!
