7 DAILY CHORES FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON

🎄Jingle bells, deck the halls, and tackle daily chores without the holiday stress!

✨Here are 7 practical tasks to keep your home merry and bright, even when time is in short supply. Let’s dive in!

☀️ Holiday Magic Morning Reset

Before the day starts, take 5 minutes in the morning to make your bed, open curtains for natural light, clear off surfaces, and start your diffuser. A refreshed morning sets the tone for a joyful day!

❄️10 Minute Declutter Snowball

Set the timer for 10 minutes and declutter high traffic areas like the kitchen and living room.  You’re going to be shocked at what you get done in 10 minutes everyday!  Your decluttering will probably “snowball” into more areas of the house!

🍽️ Deck the Dishes

I spend less than 10 mins in the morning and evening each day on dishes.  Washing dishes while you cook helps too!  It takes less time than you think!  Plus, it keeps the kitchen ready for holiday cooking magic!✨

🎁 Christmas Gifts and a Movie

I wrap gifts the day they arrive to stay organized.  I like to save gifts for the evening when everyone is in bed. I’ll turn on a Hallmark movie and enjoy a holiday cocktail or listen to Christmas music.  This is how you make holiday tasks something you enjoy and look forward to!

🧹Quick Vacuum or Sweep

A quick vacuum or sweep daily keeps dirt at bay and Christmas cookie crumbs off the floor.  A fresh floor always makes me feel better.

🎄 Laundry Lighting Round

1 load = about 10 mins

⏱️Start a timer: load your washing machine.

Once you start it, stop the timer.  Start the timer when you transfer to the dryer, then stop the timer.  When it’s dry, start the timer again and fold.  How long did it actually take?!

My best hack:  do NOT put all laundry together in one wash, biggest time suck is sorting

🌟Nightly Tidy-Up

End the day peacefully with a 10 minute tidy-up. Set out your morning routine things on the table.  Fill your water jug.  Take a few moments for a nightly tidy-up like folding blankets and putting away scattered items.
